10.7.1962	Foundation of: SidMar - Siderurgie Maritime NV by ARBED, Cockerill-Sambre, Schneider, Société Générale de Belgique, Compagnie Belge de Participations (COBEPA), Compagnie Financière et Industrielle (COFININDUS), etc.
	Later ARBED takes a majority stake in the new company.

1994	SIDMAR becomes a shareholder in Klöckner Stahl, which has been renamed STAHLwerke BREMEN.
1994	By the end of the year, SIDMAR increases its stake to 51.01%.
1995	To improve co-ordination of sales of the ARBED group’s flat products sector, SIDMAR and STAHLwerke BREMEN established SIDSTAHL as of 1st January.
1995	The ARBED group, through SIDMAR, increases its shareholding in STAHLwerke BREMEN to 67.68%.
